Primitive was established in 1997 with an aim to provide unique and eclectic Clothing, Jewellery and Handicraft from around the world. Predominately from Latin America as well as Africa, the Middle East and Asia, we have focused on being an Ethical-Based Company.

Ethical-Based Company

When traveling to source new items our focus and aim is to give back to the local communities, whether it is financially providing for a local child or local schools and ensuring that local workers are being paid ethical wages for the work they do. Much of the Primitive Brand is handmade or hand-embroidered and when possible we buy directly, thus supporting local Cottage Communities. Our sizes cater to baby sized through to XXL Adults, looking to provide comfort and a natural fit.

Winter Wear

For the winter we bring you our warm-wear winter collection from South America. Predominately from Ecuador and Peru , we provide Adults and Children everything they need to keep warm in the cold weather. Every year we source out the latest styles and fashion, while keeping to our natural roots, allowing you to reconnect to your earthy origins. This includes Jumpers, Cardigans, Capes, Jackets and Hats. These products are made from natural fibres, such as Sheep’s wool, Alpaca wool, and the luxurious feel of Baby Alpaca Wool.

Summer Wear

For the summer we bring you a series of clothing from South America and SE Asia. For both adults and children there are a series of tops, dresses, kaftans, pants and skirts. These are comfortable wear clothing, fashion with a natural feel.

For something a bit fun and different, check out our series of rusta hats with dreadlocks. Or the Bob Marley fisherman pants!

Accessories

To compliment your fashion we have a number of accessories, including bags, scarves, leggings, gloves, sox, and friendship bracelets.

Jewellery

To accent your clothing, we have a beautiful collection of jewellery from around the world, including Necklaces, Bracelets, and Earrings. Newly introduced is a selection of gorgeous Sterling Silver jewellery.

Novelty

We also carry a number of handicraft and novelty items including hacky-sack balls, boxes, hand-made musical instruments, worry dolls, finger puppets and incense packs.

Funki Beat

Our new Funki Beat brand seeks to provide fashion and accessories with an up-beat edge that says, “Look at Me!” This is the brand for you if you want to stand-out and make a statement.

The collection has vivid and colourful prints in short-sleeve, singlets, long sleeve and dresses. These are further accented with Funki jewelerry, including Rings, Bracelets, Necklaces and Earrings.
